Here's another question about the current default OM settings:

Apparently the "Create Silverlight Domain Model Project"
checkbox used to be checked by default.  At least that's
what this PDF shows: www.ideablade.com/PDF/Silverlight4SimpleSteps.pdf.
It's dated July 2009.  But the current Object Mapper has
that checkbox unchecked by default.

A newer documentation file dated October 2009 gets installed
in the "Learning Resources" 100SLV_FourSimpleSteps subdir:
"Ex_Four Simple Steps to Your DevForce Silverlight App.pdf"
This newer PDF explicitly tells you to check that checkbox
and set the target SL project.

My question:
Why isn't "Create Silverlight Domain Model Project" checked
by default (like it apparently was back in July 2009)?
How can your SL client program do anything with DF without
that?  (The 4-simple-steps example sure doesn't work
without it :).

Addendum:
When I search the DF Dev Guide for "Create Silverlight Domain Model" I find this:
“This checkbox will only appear if you have a DevForce Universal or DevForce Silverlight license (but not a DevForce WinClient license). In Universal it will default to being unchecked, as shown. In DevForce Silverlight, it will default to being checked."
 
I installed the Universal version, so it's defaulting to not-checked.  But it still seems
like it should default to checked if the OM sees I'm working with a Silverlight app. 
Or am I missing something?

We chose the more conservative setting of not generating the partial classes as a default in order not to create a nuisance for developers who prefer to locate their developer partial classes in a different project. 

Retaining the size of the OM window is an open Feature in our database with Medium priority.

Hi;

I was wondering when you're building your Domain Model using DevForce Object mapper, why isn't "Create developer partial class files" check box checked as default?

Would it be possible for the mapper program to remember the last size and location of the form used? So, if we are using high resolution screen and we open it up, it will remember next time?
