Sorry for the late response. 
 
smiller is correct - DevForce EF Beta1  is not compatible with VS 2008 SP1 beta and still needs the components listed in the first post.  DevForce EF Beta2 (aka Release Candidate 1) will be compatible with SP1 beta.

I'm pretty sure that DevForce EF Beta 1 doesn't work with the recently released SP1 builds of VS 2008 and .NET 3.5

Now that the beta version of Visual Studio 2008 SP1 is available and includes ADO.Net Entity Framework tools, are the following components still required before installing DevForce EF (Beta 1)?

  • ADO.Net Entity Framework Tools Dec 07 CTP (EFToolsSetupX86.exe)
  • ADO.NET Entity Framework Beta 3 (EFB3SetupX86.exe)
  • XML Editor QFE (VS90-KB945282.exe)
