Dynamic filtering on queries

Hi,

I'm researching now DF for our upcoming SL project, there's one thing that I'm wondering is there a way to create a run time dynamic filtering on queries that is not predictable in advance, lets say you have a combo box with field names and the values will be taken from a text box or so, and there could be a list of filters, so I was wondering on how this is supposed to work in DF.

What you need is very similar to this post - http://www.ideablade.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1383 - so I see a trend developing :-).  We'll be adding this type of filtering capability to the ObjectDataSource soon, and per my response in the referenced post we'll make this generally available outside of the ODS too.

That's exactly what I'm after, in particular I'd be interested to see an example of option 2 proposed in the response to that thread.
