You can build Windows Forms applications in our first DevForce 2010 (v.6.0.1) release. Unfortunately, you can't use our DevForce 2009 Windows Forms features - BindableList, BindingManagers, etc. - in that release.
We are working to port these features to an upcoming release, probably our next DF 201 release, at least for .NET Windows Forms controls.
We also will migrate our DF 2009 support for Infragistics and Developer Express suites to DF 2010 as soon as we can and perhaps in the same release. We have to make sure that both of these vendors themselves support VS 2010.
Please note:
We will only support versions of 3rd party controls that the vendors approve for VS 2010 and .NET 4
We will only support .NET 4 Windows Forms development; we will not support a mix of .NET 3.5 WinForms and .NET 4 development.
Why? Our mission is to ensure that you can bind to DevForce entities. DF 2010 entities are build in .NET 4. .NET 3.5 assemblies cannot consume classes from .NET 4 assemblies so it makes little sense to offer .NET 3.5 binding managers that can't work with DF 2010 .NET 4 entities.
I do not have a release date for you. Stay tuned. I hope it is some comfort to know that help is on the way.
