noob question:
I have created an application that uses the sample documentation and adapted it to my own database
winforms for now.
how do i create a search funtion to search for a customer name.

I assume that you are asking about DevForce EF.
There are some great examples of EF queries in the Intermediate Learning Unit named "LINQ, Entity SQL, Deployment Tester".
