We are using the IdeaBlade DevExpress libraries.  We are referencing the IdeaBlade.UI.WinForms.DevExpressControls.v9_1_2 .  However when I start my application I see teh following assemblies being loaded...

Why is IdeaBlade loading all of these dll's when I will not be using any of them. Especially the Infragistics mapping dlls.  This is in IDE.  I am assuming that this does not do this in production as I don't deploy all of these dll's with my application.

This is an unfortunate side effect of both running on a development machine (where all these DevForce supporting assemblies are installed in the GAC) and using either DevExpress or Infragistics controls with the ControlBindingManager.   When a control from one of these suites is first found, DevForce, by virtue of some unfortunate static constructors, is trying to load up information on all supported suites.  I think this is something we can fix, and have opened a bug report to address it.

I should add that this behavior is normal at design time, however.   The designer for the ControlBindingManager allows you to select the preferred suite, and tries loading up everything possible in order to give you the information on what's available.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
