Good day,

I'm currently investigating the combination of DevForce WinClient as a DAL and Business object Layer with DevExpress Win/ASP/WPF controls in the presentation layer.

Unfortunately I don't have allot of time to review this and would like to know if there is any documentation, videos or samples available that explains or demonstrates their interfacing capabilities?

I’m planning to purchase the latest versions of both.


Any feedback will be appreciated

There is a Learning Resource on WebApps which shows how to use the AspDataSource in a WinClient App.  The Learning Unit is in the UserInterfaces folder.

Can you please indicate which version of the DevExpress controls are supported by DevForce WinClient?

Because I get an Object reference error is I use the latest version of DevExpress controls which is 9.2?

DevExpress 9.2 won't be supported by DevForce WinClient until the mid-October release.  Right now, v9.1 is the latest version of the DevExpress suite supported.

Thanks for the feedback, will enquire DevExpress where I can download 9.1 for now.
