Instead of showing an wait status for "x" amount time when an async query runs, where "x" can vary greatly from connection to connection, would it be possible to get status events of progress on the download of a query result payload?
It would greatly help in figuring out if a query needs to be optimized for speed or result size and give better feedback to the user on the status of a request via a progress bar instead of a indefinite wait cursor.
Thanks for any info and comments that can be provided.

Hi Joe - We'd love to do this, so I've added a feature request. However, getting download progress from inside the WCF channel will be difficult, so it will take some reasearch before we'll have a solution.
