Is it possible to use gzipMessageEncoding with the BOS and Silverlight? I've seen examples of this used in a few other forum posts and in the Learining Resources sample config files, but it seems as if it is only for other clients that are not Silverlight. Any thoughts?

gzipMessageEncoding is not currently supported in Silverlight.  We are working on enabling compression by default for all DevForce Silverlight applications.  Until then, you can manually turn on compression in IIS for your application.  This is one link that shows how to do it for IIS 7:
