Installation of DevForce Silverlight on a non U.S. OS has its own unique set of challenges.  To start with, the installation will look for the following registry key "HKLM\\Software\\Microsoft\\Microsoft SDKs\\Silverlight\\v3.0 If it does not find this key. it won't let you continue.

I have the same issue, but with the DevForce Express Edition (IdeaBladeDevForce.5.2.5.VS2008.setup).
Tried the regkey fix with no luck.

Any other options?

P.S. I have a french OS, with the French edition of Silverlight 3. I cannot seems to find a way to install the English edition of Silverlight (I changed the local settings of my os to let it think I'm in US, with no luck)

Looks like they built it against the SL3 beta

To fix it, create the following registry key:

(64 bit)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{6721AC10-3743-38F1-B178-C0EC6C9A4108}.KB967143

(32 bit)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{6721AC10-3743-38F1-B178-C0EC6C9A4108}.KB967143

This will then allow installation

I just experienced the exact same installation error.
 
My OS is Windows XP and mine is a new install of DevForce.
 
I unstalled and re-installed the required Silverlight 3 components and got the same installation error.

Installation of the new Version 5.2.5 Devforce Silverlight throws up an error stating that Silverlight 3 has to be installed prior to this install.

 
I already have the following Installed on my machine
Silverlight 3.0.50106.0 Silverlight 3 toolkit  Nov 2009 3.0.31118.0320, Silverlight 3 Tools for Visual Studio 9.0.30730.126
 
OS is windows 7.
 
Can you help me know why this problem occurs.
 
I had Devforce Silverlight 5.2.4.2 successfully working earlier which I uninstalled before this install.
