    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.ideablade.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=834" rel="nofollow">rowek</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1938<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03-Jul-2010 at 11:07am<br /><br /><P>Well I'll be dogged.&nbsp;&nbsp; I did see a post that sounded a little like mine, so I gave it a try.&nbsp; And it worked.&nbsp; I wonder why this part of the install fails but the setup does not tell me so.&nbsp; It truly was a stab in the dark, but it worked.</P><DIV><BR><EM><FONT size=4>Find the file IdeaBlade.VisualStudio.OM.Designer.vsix in the DevForce installation folder (typically C:\Program Files\DevForce 2010\) and double-click it to launch it. That should install the OM extension. <BR><BR>There seem to be a variety of obscure reasons why the OM extension sometimes won't install correctly, but that usually takes care of it.</FONT></EM></DIV>]]>

Very easy to follow, but when add the model I do not get these files:</P><DIV>Model1.edmx.tt</DIV><DIV>Model1.edmx.Readme</DIV><DIV>Model1.IB.Designier.cs</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>My system also got very slow, so I went back to a restore point, re-installed both the SL Tools and the SL Toolkit, then DevForce SL.&nbsp; Same result.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Dropped back to Tim Heuer's WCF Ria Services video and it worked great.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>What am I doing wrong?&nbsp; The Quickie is sooooo easy to follow, but my files simply are not popping in.&nbsp; Where do I go to check for errors?&nbsp; Event log is clean.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Many thanks,</DIV><DIV>Keith</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>PS, heading into the office now, will try to install on clean Windows 7 PC there.</DIV>]]>
