    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.ideablade.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=1073" rel="nofollow">Cornholio</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2726<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 30-May-2011 at 4:26am<br /><br />Hi,<br><br>We are using the Push Notification feature to Send messages to our logged in clients.<br><br>Everything works correctly when the users are on the network, however when the user is connected via VPN errors occur.<br>I have figured out that the port number that is being used for the seperate notification channel is being blocked.<br><br>When using NETSTAT or a network protocol analyser I can see the used port number on the server.<br>The problem is that this server port number changes every time I log in.<br><br>Is there a way to specify the port the server must use? <br>(similar to this in the app.config: <span style="color: blue">&lt;</span><span style="color: #a31515">notificationService</span><span style="color: blue">&nbsp;</span><span style="color: red">clientPort</span><span style="color: blue">=</span>"<span style="color: blue">9012</span>"<span style="color: blue">/&gt;</span>)<br><br>I noticed in a past post that there was mention of a server port.<br>http://www.ideablade.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1923&amp;title=problem-deploying-with-push-notification<br><br>Alternatively, would changing to the net.tcp bindings have the same problem?<br><br>Thanks<br>]]>
