When I try to install, I get the following message after I accept your License Agreement:
'No registry key found for UserProjectTemplatesLocation. Have you installed and initialized VS2010?'
(BTW Yes I have)
I had just finished successfully installing Silverlight_4_Toolkit_April_2010 and Silverlight4_Tools.
I am using 64-bit W7 Ultimate and VS 2010 Pro.
Please help.

Please make sure that you have opened Visual Studio and chosen the default environment settings; then retry the DevForce installation.

How do I revert back to the default environment settings?

I found how to revert - using Tools, Import and Export Settings...

But it has not changed the message I get from your installer. :(

The installer is looking for:
 My_Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\UserProjecTemplatesLocation

The key does exist and has the following value:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Templates\ProjectTemplates
 
The only other bit of info I can think of, is that I've only very recently upgraded to W7 from Vista, so there is still a fair bit of detritus that I haven't got rid of yet.
 
Any more suggestions would be great - I'll try them tomorrow.

Does that key exist for the user that did the install?  For example, did a user named "Admin" do the install and fail, and then you logged on as "Mark" and found the key in the registry.  If so, then you must relogin as "Admin", initialize VS2010, and thren retry the install.

I did everything as Mark, who does not have admin rights.
Thus I get the request for elevation to Admin when i start each install.
I can see the registry entry when logged in as Mark.
I can run and use VS2010 fine as Mark.
Admin does NOT have the registry entry.
 
Is it because I've tried to do things the 'correct' way by not using a user with admin rights?

Try logging in as Admin and then initializing Visual Studio.  If that does not work, try giving Admin rights to Mark and then installing in as Mark and trying to install DevForce.

SOME Success!!!
Going into VS2010 while logged in as Admin has does the trick as far as installing is concerned.
However I did install while logged in as Admin too.
And now I can't use it as Mark. The problems are ...
  • No DevForce templates - OK I sorted that myself by copying from the Admin templates to Mark's.
  • No VS Extension - Do I just need to set a registry setting?
  • No sign of the NorthwindIB database - That was my fault. Mark didn't have the right SQL permissions. 

I'm fairly sure all would be well if I did everything as Admin, but I'm a bit stubborn.

OK - now I think I'm good to go.
I copied the 'IdeaBlade, Inc' folder from the Admin's VS Extensions folder to Mark's Extensions folder (which I had to create).
I also enabled the extension once I had gone into VS and then all was well.
Unless you hear from me again....
