Hi,

I'd like to know if DevForce for SL already works with VS 2010 and SL3?

TIA

DevForce SL works with the current Silverlight 3 Beta. When the RTW of Silverlight 3 becomes available we will have a new release to support it (this is most likely when DevForce SL goes from RC to RTW).

We haven't done any testing with VS 2010 yet.  We plan to make significant modifications to the Universal product (including DevForce SL) to take advantage of new features in the Entity Framework in this release.  No dates yet on when we might have beta or RC drops available.

Hello,

Just wondering if there is any news on this front.

I only have VS 2010 installed and would like to learn how to use DevForce SL, but it won't install without VS 2008.  I'd rather not install VS 2008 if I don't have to.

If DevForce support for VS 2010 is imminent, I will just wait.

thanks for any info/news you can provide.

We will support VS 2010 when it is officially released by Microsoft.

Currently, you cannot even install either WinClient or Silverlight on VS 2010 because of the requirement that VS 2008 be installed.  We would like to relax this restriction so that at least the install will succeed on VS2010.  This will probably happen some time later this year.  Whether our product will work nicely with VS 2020 is another question, and we will have to try it and see.
