affecting SQL statements from BOS

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes:
 
I would like to apply a filter (WHERE statement) to every select statement made from the BOS to the database server.  Is there a way to do this centrally, so I don't need to add a filter to every business object?

You can see a good example of how to do this in the "Best Practices" chapter in the Developers's Guide in the section on Implementing "Soft Deletes" .
