Updated versions of the DevEx and DotNet Cabana zip files are now available on the IdeaBlade website.  No change to the download or install procedures.

For those of you who have already downloaded and installed the zip files, all that is required is an update to the IdeaBlade Cab Wizards available at:

http://www.ideablade.com/friends/cabana/IdeaBladeCabWizards.2.3.0.0.zip

1.  Be sure you have exited Visual Studio.

2.  Download the above file and extract into a temp folder.

3.  Use Add/Remove Programs to uninstall IdeaBlade Cab Wizards

4.  Run setup.exe to install the msi package contained in the archive.

Hope this gets you guys back on the air.

Thanks,
Bill Jensen

Excellent!  I hope this untrusted component thing can be ironed out relatively quickly.  We are so close!

I downloaded and followed the instructions for installation and getting started.  The LIB project built fine and the wizards installed without an issue.  The Cabana application runs without a hitch.

The next step is to generate a new CAB application from the wizard.  Painless.  Absolutely painless!  So far, the wizards have been worth the wait.  F5, and the app just runs.  Quite nice.

Next, I went to add a new business module.  After I enter the name of the module (e.g. "Admin"), I get the following message:

"Error: this template attempted to load an untrusted component 'IdeaBlade.CabTemplateWizards, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=d4a990e7059f4985'.  For more information on this problem and how to enable this template, please see documentation on Customizing Project Templates."

The wizard aborts at that point.  Howdo I establish the trust?

By the way, this is a wonderful start!  Thanks for the time and energy put into these templates/wizards.  Very nice.  Very classy.  No pun intended.

Thanks,
Bill

At long last we have released the new version of Cabana with Template and Wizard support.  It's version 2.3.0.0, available at

Read the release notes and the Getting Started Guide, then download the appropriate version.

To those who have been waiting, thanks for your patience.

We look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Thanks,
Bill Jensen and Ward Bell
