PersistenceServer Service Fails to Start

In order to update the model project on the BOS, I will stop the service so that I can overwrite the DLLs.  Once that is complete, I simply restart the service; however, it nevers restarts the first time.  Here is the event log entry:
 
EVENT ID 7009
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the IdeaBlade PersistenceServer Service service to connect.
===================
 
Followed by:
EVENT ID 7000
The IdeaBlade PersistenceServer Service service failed to start due to the following error:
 
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
===================
 
This is especially annoying when the entire server is restarted,  The startup type is set to automatic, but it always fails.  I forget about it.  Then, users start calling because of connection messages.
 
Can I do anything about this?  Is there an update out there somewhere?
