I just installed DevForce SL.  I am following the SL Quickie. Very easy to follow, but when add the model I do not get these files:

Model1.edmx.tt
Model1.edmx.Readme
Model1.IB.Designier.cs

My system also got very slow, so I went back to a restore point, re-installed both the SL Tools and the SL Toolkit, then DevForce SL.  Same result.

Dropped back to Tim Heuer's WCF Ria Services video and it worked great.

What am I doing wrong?  The Quickie is sooooo easy to follow, but my files simply are not popping in.  Where do I go to check for errors?  Event log is clean.

Many thanks,
Keith

PS, heading into the office now, will try to install on clean Windows 7 PC there.

Well I'll be dogged.   I did see a post that sounded a little like mine, so I gave it a try.  And it worked.  I wonder why this part of the install fails but the setup does not tell me so.  It truly was a stab in the dark, but it worked.

Find the file IdeaBlade.VisualStudio.OM.Designer.vsix in the DevForce installation folder (typically C:\Program Files\DevForce 2010\) and double-click it to launch it. That should install the OM extension.

There seem to be a variety of obscure reasons why the OM extension sometimes won't install correctly, but that usually takes care of it.
