Greg Gum, freelance Silverlight developer and trainer, just wrote a great piece on his personal experiences with Ria Services and DevForce.
 
 
At the time, I choose Ria Services over DevForce, primarily because they looked similar on the outside, yet Ria Services was free and I was a startup.
...
I now regret not having started with DevForce ... Had I known these things at the start, I would have gone with DevForce from the beginning.
