I am getting this error when I "Run custom Tool" on the tt file.

Error     5     Compiling transformation: Metadata file 'IdeaBlade.VisualStudio.DTE.dll' could not be found     D:\Clients\Jet\Jet\Jet.Web\Models\EmailEntityManager.edmx.tt     1     1

It gives the same error for CodeGenerator.dll as well as EntityModel.Edm.Metadata.dll.

This started after I changed the Windows logon from Administrator to a specific login. The new login has Adminstrator permissions, and all the files are in the same place. If I change back to the adminstrator logon, then it runs just fine.

Any suggestions?

Greg

Hi Greg,

With the "specific login", can you navigate to the assemblies location? (C:\Program Files (x86)\DevForce 2010\DesktopAssemblies)
Also, are you running VS 2010 as Admininstrator when using it with the "specific login"? (you'll be able to see it in the title bar)

Silvio.

Yes, I can navigate to the assembly location, and it shows "Administrator" in the title bar of VS.

What I did was uninstall and then re-install DevForce under the login, and then it ran fine. As a test, I went back to the Administrator log-in, and it now gives the same errors there.

It's not a big issue as I really don't need to access it under the administrator login, just wanted to pass it along.

Greg
