I received your marking newletter title "Waiting for EF to mature?".
In the newsletter you state some features of EF 4.2 and then provide a "Learn More" link that points to the June 2011 CTP. 
Can you confirm the features of the June 2011 CTP are included in EF 4.2? 
It was my understanding that is not the case. 
For example all the designer enhancments are not in 4.2 but will come at a later date.

I can't confirm or deny what features will be inlcuded in EF 4.2, but I'll do some research on the 'net and see if there are any Microsoft resources which confirm it, either way. I'm not even sure if their project scope has been set, yet.

Hi bap1,

I believe you're correct. It looks like there's been a change to the Entity Framework version numbers that we missed.

This (June 29th) post says that the new features are planned for "the next version after 4.1".

This (August 23rd) post says that "Entity Framework 4.1 Update 2" which only contains bug fixes is now called "Entity Framework 4.2":

So the features from the June 2011 CTP won't be until the version after 4.2. Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks for the clarification.  Devforce + EF 4.2 (whenever it ships) is going to be really nice!
